KUNGSLEDEN TRAIL

TEUSAJAURE TO VAKKOTAVARE

This will be the longest day you have had in a while, both in distance and elevation. The trail is mostly in good condition with easy hiking, much better than the previous day’s rock garden. The elevation gain does not feel as much as it is, but the final descent is one of the steepest on the Kungsleden and slippery at times.

ELEVATION – 440 meters

The small hut of Vakkotavare is located at the meeting point of trail and road. Many people skip this hut and head immediately to Saltoluokta. However, later in the season, an overnight here may be necessary.
